How To Install Skype On Windows Vista

The latest version of Skype is not compatible anymore with Windows Vista or older. The link Juan provided might let you download an older version of Skype but its likely that it will not connect with our servers anymore. The Skype on Windows Desktop requires:

Windows 10 Version 1507 or above
Windows 8.1
Windows 8
Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit versions supported)

Alternatively, you would still be able to use Skype for Web. You just need to access this link using the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge: https://web.skype.com

I think Skype for the Web still works on the Maxthon browser .

There are several reports in their forum that Maxthon can run Skype for web in older version of Windows such as Vista and XP. You can find more information about by checking their release notes:
